What is Transport Focus?

Transport Focus is the independent watchdog for transport users.

We represent the interests of rail users in Scotland. In England, we also represent bus and strategic road users. However, we know that people make journeys not just train trips; the end to end experience is important. We have worked with partners to include Scottish bus passengers in our major bus research, and we take on multi-modal work wherever we can.

We are led by a Board of non-executive directors, including a member for Scotland appointed by the Scottish government, and run by a management team.

More about Transport Focus
Our work in Scotland

We have helped with the development of the National Transport Strategy 2 (NTS2), published at the beginning of the year, the Rail Services Decarbonisation Action Plan and the £500m Bus Partnership Fund which launched recently. This ongoing work will enable Scotland to build back better, but the impact on transport users must be taken onboard to cement the building of Scotland’s transport system.
